Jesus Was Tempted With All Things: Wouldn't He Understand Your Struggles?

Jesus Was Tempted With All Things: Wouldn't He Understand Your Struggles?

I don't know if we all think about that question much. As we go on with our daily lives, we try to muddle through and suffer through our problems and our issues. Though we may pray to God for guidance and help in our situations, do we even consider that Jesus knows what we are going through? Do we see Him as a man who suffered and was tempted of all things when he was on earth?  When the bible states he was tempted of all things, that is exactly what it means: ALL.

In Matthew 4:11, it explains how Jesus was baptized, fasted for 40 days and 40 nights and the devil came to tempt him.

But Our Jesus conquered all temptations, even at the weakest point when fasting.

Jesus Explained website stated this as a critical explanation why he was tempted:

It was necessary that Jesus was tempted! Jesus is the judge of all men, and the only way that he could mete out judgment upon the children of men was if he had proven that there is no temptation that cannot be withstood, under every circumstance. He had to make sure that there would never come a time when a man or woman, who had given in to a temptation, would say: "You just don't understand what I went through!"
It was necessary that Jesus met his adversary at a time when he was more physically fatigued than anyone of us will ever be able to experience, and withstand all Satan's attempts to make him fall from grace.
The bible states in Matthew 4: 15-16:

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

So, as Jesus was a man who would not and could not ever sin because he was God's son, He too was tempted in ALL things on this earth. He clearly understands what we go through in our lives. He knows all about our struggles and our temptations. When we are fasting, we are at times hit with some extraordinary circumstances but God allows them to make us strong.

Can you imagine fasting in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights while Satan (literally) is testing and tempting you on every hand? How did Jesus do it? How did He get through it? Well, again, despite the fact that He is the Son of God, he proved then that he was a flesh and blood man and could endure anything with the help and faith in His Father. Just as the scripture stated, He was tempted in all points as we are, yet he was without sin. So, that also addresses what I have spoke to many people about. If you are struggling with same sex feelings but have not acted on it or have decided not to act on it, God does not condemn you for thoughts. We can see from how Jesus was tempted but He DID NOT SIN. We will all be tempted, tried and tested in our life, but as long as we do not commit the sinful act, God honors us for this. I have said it before that even if you have thoughts or feelings, as long as you don't dwell on them or act on them, YOU ARE NOT IN SIN. It really is just that simple.

Isn't God good? Then the bible states "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. " Jesus has us in His hands. It doesn't matter what it seems like or even feels like, God is working in your life as long as you are submitting yourself to him. He knows you can not handle things on your own. If we could, then we would have never needed a Savior, right?

God knows your heart and as you come to Him in spirit and in truth (John 4: 23-24), He will be there for you in your time of need. Just go to Him from the smallest issue to the biggest issue. He can handle it all.

God bless!

True Ex Gay Talk Support Call- Will You Join Us?

I posted another update about how some of you want us to start the support call again. I would like to start it again but we need a group of people who will commit to join as often as they can.

I would like to be of some support to anyone who wants it and it truly is my pleasure. So, with that being said, please read over the post and contact me with your responses to the survey. If you get my email updates or feeds, then you know you can contact me. If you are visiting for the first time and want to be a part of a support call, then please contact me.

Here's the post I wrote about our support call and what I would like to hear back from you.

God bless and I know that if you are reading this, you probably want support.

Thank You to My EGGW Family

Thank You to My EGGW Family

I just wanted to thank all of the people who have supported me since I started this outreach through my blog here at Ex Gay, God's Way (EGGW) and True Ex Gay Talk (TXGT). I have met so many people through this blog since I started it last May, that I am amazed at the transformations that God has performed in their lives.

I love those who have a willing heart to change and not just for themselves but because they want to please God in all they do.

I just wanted to thank you for entrusting me to help encourage and guide you to a full life of righteousness. We all have our own process but we are all getting there, one day at a time.

Everyone that I speak to should know that I am always available to talk because this is a family we have built. I appreciate you all for accepting me as well because I need you too in my walk with Christ.

So I am just wanting to thank you again for those of you who read this blog daily and how we get together and encourage one another.

If I have spoken with you (and there are many whom I speak to on a daily basis), then I hope you don't mind me keeping in touch. For those of you who read the blog yet I have not spoken to, you are welcome to contact me. I am very open, honest and as real as they come so you can feel very comfortable with me. I am only here to show you what God can do. He does the rest.

May God bless you everyday and He give you strength that surpasses your understanding.

God bless!
