More People are 'Coming Out' But Many Have Been 'Called Out' of Homosexuality

The news as been filled with people from all walks of life announcing that they are coming 'out of the closet'. We've heard many of them from gospel singer DeJuaii Pace, CNN anchor Don Lemon to sports executives and others. Its a sad day and age that everyone feels the need to 'come out' and let the world know what their sexual preference is.

I remember before I was delivered from homosexuality nearly 12 years ago, it was not about letting the world know what I was. I was disillusioned into thinking the same sex could fulfill something I was missing. But I was wrong. I think many people today that are coming out are more concerned with getting attention than finding love which can't be fulfilled as a homosexual. It may seem satisfying for a while but most people become increasingly depressed and dissatisfied because acting on same sex attraction does not solve their underlying problems.

There are underlying issues that many persons with same sex attraction or homosexuals are not dealing with from their childhood, family life, developmental problems, social problems and many others. So, instead of dealing with past or present emotional pain, the same sex attraction appears to be the focus of their life and identity.

But I have to say that ever since President Obama lifted the ban or repealed the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" military policy and his public interest in gay marriage, we have seen more and more people 'coming out of the closet' than ever before. More states are passing into law the legalization of gay marriages and civil unions for same sex partners along with the passing of bills for homosexual studies in public schools.

Even with all of this, which is disheartening for an ex-gays or ex-lesbians, there are many people being 'called out' of the homosexual lifestyle. Like myself, there are several individuals who have accepted Christ and turned their lives around and walked away from homosexual lifestyles. Its truly a blessing to see so many people being 'called out', as ex-lesbian Janet Boynes, would call it. Many ex- homosexuals would be myself, T. Marie Phillips, author and minister Janet Boynes, Pastor D.L. Foster, Charlene Cothran, and many others.

When I gave my life to Christ over a decade ago, I never imaged that all of the gay rights and public images of homosexuality would have reached a point to it being headline news everyday. I finally answered my Father's call to not let my deliverance from homosexuality be' my secret' but share my life and experiences of staying on the path of righteousness after leaving the lifestyle.

So I want to encourage anyone that is struggling with same sex attraction or homosexuality and want out, to not be deterred nor discouraged by the public display of acceptance for gays you may see everyday in the news. The bible spoke about how homosexuality among other things will run rampant on earth and this is the time. But if people today can give their lives to Christ in the midst of this generation as others have many years before, anyone can. It doesn't matter how long you've lived this way, but as long as you make a decision to for change now. God loves you and He wants to save you from a lifestyle that is destructive and displeasing to Him.

I was homeless and lost when I finally came to Jesus and if I can it and some many others can do it, then anyone can.

State Senator Diaz Stands Against Gay Marriage Though Lesbian Granddaughter Rebels
A massive rally was held last Sunday at the Bronze Supreme Court against gay marriage. As we reported recently former President Clinton announced he 'changed his mind' about gay marriage though he signed into law the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) which in the 1990's, Clinton was totally against gay marriage and the illegal union of  same sex relationships.
Well, State Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr. held the rally against gay marriage going into law in New York but his granddaughter has a difference stance on the issue. The senator's lesbian granddaughter Erica Diaz showed up at a smaller protest against her grandfather's views stating:
"I started crying a little bit because they don't believe we're people," as she posed for cameras with her girlfriend.
Ruben Diaz, Sr is a Pentecostal preacher and believes in "traditional" marriage between a man and a woman. He marched with supporters holding signs stating "God's Marriage = 1 man & 1 woman" and "Gay Marriage Is Against the Word of God."
"He's not homophobic. He's just against us getting married. I respect that he's firm on what he believes in, but it bothers me. It hurts," stated Diaz.
Erica Diaz hopes even though her grandfather opposes gay marriage, he will attend her marriage with girlfriend. Senator Diaz stated, "I would not go to the wedding," but he respects her decision.
Diaz spoke to the group of protesters: "To the whole group that is up there, we all respect you and we love you," he told the opposing protest.
Granddaughter Erica Diaz made her way over to her grandfather before the rally was over to reach out and hug him.
"This is my granddaughter," he announced in response. "And I love her."
We thought this was an important piece of news because the senator and pastor continues to stand against gay marriage as this is what the bible states but he shows total love and respect for his granddaughter. He's a very good model for other pastors with family or members in gay relationships. As Christians, we have to stand on the word of God but show love to those whom are mistaken and oppose the bible. This is the only way to win them to Christ- with love.

Let Us Thank Harold Camping of Family Radio for His False Prophesy

Some may think that the title of this post is weird but we think we really should thank him. Harold Camping is just one of so many who have tried to predict the end of time for us on this earth. He's not the only one to do so but the problem is he was incorrect just as so many before him. But let us thank Harold Camping because it reminded us to be on alert. Some may have forgotten that the rapture will occur and that we must be ready if want to be with Him on that day.


Many of us may have to admit we braced ourselves or at least had a thought that the rapture would occur this Saturday. Even people who claim to be Christians have packed up their things, sold their homes, spent their life savings in belief that Harold Camping, a mere flesh and blood man was able to predict the rapture. But here we are- in the living and let us thank God for another day.


Of course we would not be able to write you today nor you be able to read this, if the rapture had occurred. This goes to prove the end of the world according to Harold Camping was not prophesied to him through Jesus.  The bible clearly states:

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."- Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32.

So we say this day on May 22, 2011 that we want to thank Harold Camping for his false prophesy. All false prophets will have to answer to God for leading people astray.  So then what will happen to the lost: those that gave up and sold everything believing the end would come? Who will they count on now that they put all their trust in man (Harold Camping) for the answers to life? Will they now fall on their knees and praise the One who created them? The scripture above clearly states that NO ONE knows but God. Not even His son Jesus knows; so how can a mere man on earth know what only the all powerful One knows. It only proves:

"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind."  - Numbers 23:19

God is faithful at His word and what ever He has spoken in His word is true. Our God proves every unbeliever and deceiver that His is God, He is in control and He has the last say.
So thank Harold Camping, not for misleading people, but for reminding us that that day WILL come and because we will not know the time nor the hour, let us be on alert and be ready.
